As explained [here][1] I would like to build a MakerArm / Dobot M1 like robotic ARM (SCARA) that can lift few kgs (< 10kg for sure) using a ball screw for the translation on the Z axis.

Right now I consider/think that mounting methods for ball screws have been "standardized" (by CNC industry?) and that any situation (including mine) should match one of those 4 available "patterns" using the standard (and widespread) end support parts (BK, BF, FK series) that includes the bearing.

Am I right or should I consider designing my own ball screw support parts (why?) ?

PS : I am asking this as a separate question as suggested in a previous one that was asking too many different things.
