Today, while doing some research about path planning I came across the term Joint Coupling. I was not able to find any proper explanation to this online.

Is there anyone who knows what this means in the context of robot kinematics?

Currently I am working with a robot that has a U-Joint, meaning that two links are connected to one common link at 45 degrees offset. Creating two joints that share the same origin for their transforms but the transforms are just offset by a twist angle of 45 degrees. My second question is this joint coupling?
