cmake version:3.22.1 ros: melodic in Ubuntu18.04

when I "catkin_make", and report an error as follow:

-- Using these message generators: CMake Error at /opt/ros/melodic/share/genmsg/cmake/genmsg-extras.cmake:271 (message): Could not find 'share/std_msgs/cmake/std_msgs-msg-paths.cmake' (searched in '/home/mandy/ross/test_ws/devel'). Call Stack (most recent call first): wpb_home/wpb_home_behaviors/CMakeLists.txt:80 (generate_messages)

Actually, I have tryed to "catkin_make" other project ,and if the CMakeList.txt of the projet have the part of “generate_messages”, the error as follow also occur.

The CMakeList.txt is as follow:

cmake_minimum_required(VERSION 2.8.3)
project(wpb_home_behaviors)
set(CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH "/opt/ros/melodic" ${CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH})
set(CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS "${CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS} -std=c++11 -O3")

## Compile as C++11, supported in ROS Kinetic and newer
# add_compile_options(-std=c++11)

## Find catkin macros and libraries

## is used, also find other catkin packages
find_package(catkin REQUIRED)

## System dependencies are found with CMake's conventions
# find_package(Boost REQUIRED COMPONENTS system)
find_package(PCL REQUIRED)
find_package(OpenCV REQUIRED)

find_package(catkin REQUIRED COMPONENTS
  roscpp rospy std_msgs
  pcl_conversions pcl_ros
  cv_bridge image_transport tf
  sensor_msgs geometry_msgs std_msgs visualization_msgs
  image_geometry
  message_generation
  move_base_msgs actionlib
)

## * In the file package.xml:
##   * add a build_depend tag for "message_generation"

## * If MSG_DEP_SET isn't empty the following dependency has been pulled in
## but can be declared for certainty nonetheless:
##     * add a run_depend tag for "message_runtime"
## * In this file (CMakeLists.txt):
## * add "message_generation" and every package in MSG_DEP_SET to
##     find_package(catkin REQUIRED COMPONENTS ...)
## * add "message_runtime" and every package in MSG_DEP_SET to
##     catkin_package(CATKIN_DEPENDS ...)
## * uncomment the add_*_files sections below as needed
## and list every .msg/.srv/.action file to be processed
##   * uncomment the generate_messages entry below
##   * add every package in MSG_DEP_SET to generate_messages(DEPENDENCIES ...)

Seems like you are getting an error similar to this. Can you try echo $CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH and if that doesn't contain the path to the ROS installation, try adding it by using export CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH=$CMAKE_PREFIX_PATH:/opt/ros/melodic
