We are currently working with a jackal robot from Clearpath Robotics, and we are having troubles with the stereo camera. We can get each individual Flea3 PointGrey camera to work individually, but never together at one time to form a stereo image.

We’ve been running the following commands and getting the data that follows:

Step 1) "roslaunch pointgrey_camera_driver stereo.launch"

… logging to /home/administrator/.ros/log/de9f988a-9360-11eb-bbbf-000babc32460/roslaunch-cpr-j100-0108-5508.log

Checking log directory for disk usage. This may take awhile.

Press Ctrl-C to interrupt

Done checking log file disk usage. Usage is <1GB.

started roslaunch server http://cpr-j100-0108:45417/

We tried changing the nodelet names, but that did not seem to fix anything. Am I missing anything here? Or has anyone heard of this specific error before? Any help would certainly be appreciated!

Thanks!

The wiki page http://wiki.ros.org/pointgrey_camera_driver says you have to specify the serial number for each camera if more than one is in use at the same time.

You can pass these as arguments on the roslaunch command line. Look in the stereo.launch file for the proper arg names.
